TBBZ High-Voltage Reactive Power Compensation Cabinet
Product Overview
The TBBZ high-voltage reactive power compensation cabinet is suitable for AC 50Hz, three-phase 10kV power systems, used to improve power factor and adjust network voltage, thereby increasing the active output of power supply equipment and reducing line losses. This device is for indoor (outdoor) use.
Model Meaning

Main Technical Data
◇ Rated operating voltage 10kV, capable of long-term operation at 1.1 times the rated voltage.
◇ When the RMS value does not exceed 1.3Un, the device can operate continuously at rated frequency, rated sinusoidal voltage, and the current generated without transient states.
◇ The device is equipped with overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, and other protections for system faults.
◇ For protection against internal capacitor faults, in addition to individual fuse protection, different relay protections are also provided according to different main wiring configurations.
◇ The design and processing of the device comply with GB50227-1995 "Design Specification for Shunt Capacitor Devices" and JB711-1993 "High-Voltage Shunt Capacitor Devices".
Structure Introduction
The structure of this device is divided into two types: cabinet type and assembled type. The assembled type can be further divided into sectional type and fully dismantled type. The cabinet type is assembled in the factory, then the components are dismantled, numbered, transported to the site, and assembled according to the drawings. The sectional type is mainly for convenient transportation from an indoor perspective. The fully dismantled type is used outdoors, mainly for convenient hot-dip galvanizing.
This device mainly consists of a reactor cabinet, a discharge cabinet, and a capacitor cabinet.
◇ Reactor Cabinet
The main function of the reactor cabinet is to limit inrush current and suppress harmonics. When limiting inrush current, Xi=(0.1~1)%Xc; when suppressing harmonics of the 5th order and above, Xi=(5~6)%Xc; when suppressing harmonics of the 3rd order and above, Xi=(12~13)%Xc.
◇ Discharge Cabinet
Mainly consists of a discharge coil or voltage transformer, zinc oxide arrester, and earthing disconnector. The discharge coil is connected in parallel with the capacitor bank. When the capacitor bank is disconnected from the power supply, its discharge performance reduces the residual voltage on the capacitor bank from the rated voltage peak to below 50V within 5 seconds. The metal zinc oxide arrester is used to limit switching overvoltages caused by switching capacitor banks. The earthing disconnector is used for busbar grounding during power-off maintenance. The above configuration can be adjusted according to user requirements. If the line wiring is double-star, the capacitor cabinet should be of double-row or double-layer structure, with additional current transformers installed inside.
◇ Capacitor Cabinet
The capacitor cabinet mainly consists of fuses and capacitors. When a capacitor breaks down internally to 50%~70%, the fuse operates, disconnecting the faulty capacitor from the power circuit, preventing the accident from spreading.
◇ Assembled Shunt Capacitor Device
This device mainly combines assembled capacitors, discharge coils, arresters, earthing switches, reactors, etc. The assembled capacitor consists of an appropriate number of single capacitors with internal fuses installed in a tank filled with insulating oil. The tank is equipped with a pressure relief valve and a temperature controller with alarm and trip contacts. It has the advantages of small footprint, simple installation, and convenient operation and maintenance.
