Overview

The XGN15-12 cabinet-type fixed AC metal-enclosed switchgear (I, II) uses SF6 switchgear as the main switch, with the entire cabinet adopting air insulation. It is suitable for distribution automation, featuring a compact and expandable structure, simple construction, flexible operation, reliable interlocking, and convenient installation. It can provide satisfactory technical solutions for various user requirements. The adoption of sensing technology and protection tripping devices, combined with excellent technical performance and lightweight flexible assembly solutions, can meet the changing demands of the market.

The main switches of the XGN15-12 cabinet-type fixed AC metal-enclosed switchgear (I, II) respectively use original ABP5FG SF6 load switches, FLN series load switches, permanent magnet mechanical vacuum circuit breakers, GE Power/VacVB vacuum circuit breakers, etc. Operation methods include manual and electric.

Product Structure

◆ Overall Structure

The ring main unit consists of a busbar compartment, load switch (or circuit breaker) compartment, cable compartment, operating mechanism, interlocking mechanism, low-voltage control room, and measurement and metering circuits. The compartments are separated by steel plates to prevent faults from affecting adjacent compartments.

◆ Busbar Compartment

The busbar compartment is arranged in the upper part of the cabinet. The main busbar is connected together in the busbar compartment, running through the entire row of switchgear. The busbar is arranged horizontally for easy expansion.

◆ Main Switch Compartment

Load switch compartment: The switch compartment contains a load switch. The housing of the load switch is cast from epoxy resin and filled with SF6 gas for arc extinguishing and insulation. Two transparent thermoformed plastic end caps are provided at the引出端 of the operating shaft, through which the contact status can be observed. The switch compartment can be equipped with an SF6 gas density gauge or a gas density relay with alarm contacts according to customer requirements.

Circuit breaker compartment: The circuit breaker compartment is located in the middle of the cabinet. A dedicated vacuum circuit breaker or SF6 circuit breaker can be installed according to customer needs. Its breaking capacity can meet the requirements of normal switching, branch network operations, and special cases such as breaking short-circuit currents. Vacuum circuit breakers are particularly suitable for frequent operations in network systems. The circuit breaker is equipped with a spring operating mechanism,具有 reclosing function, and is reliable and long-lasting.

◆ Cable Compartment

The cable compartment is mainly used for cable connections, allowing single-core or three-core cables to be connected using simpler non-shielded cable terminations. At the same time, the ample space can accommodate components such as arresters, current transformers, and lower earthing switches. Designed according to standards, the cabinet door has an observation window and safety interlocking devices. The cable compartment floor is equipped with sealing covers and cable clamps of appropriate size with brackets. The front frame of the cable compartment floor can be removed for convenient cable installation.

◆ Operating Mechanism, Interlocking Mechanism, and Low-Voltage Control Room

The low-voltage compartment with interlocking also serves as a control panel. The low-voltage compartment contains a spring operating mechanism with position indicators and mechanical interlocking devices. It can also be equipped with auxiliary contacts, trip coils, emergency trip mechanisms, capacitive live display devices, key locks, and electric operating devices. The low-voltage compartment space can also accommodate control circuits, recording instruments, and protection relays. The 750mm wide cabinet has two identical low-voltage compartments, allowing more accessories to be installed.
