Drop-out Fuse

Reliable Power, Reliable Business

Product Title

HPRWG2-35F/200A Drop-out Fuse

The HPRWG2-35F/200A drop-out fuse is an outdoor high-voltage expulsion fuse used for short-circuit and overload protection of distribution transformers and lines, as well as for making and breaking load currents. Its core advantage lies in the use of composite insulation materials, and the fuse tube drops automatically after fusing, forming a clear break, ensuring safety and reliability. The product complies with relevant power industry standards.

HPRWG2-35F/200A Drop-out Fuse Outdoor High-Voltage Expulsion Fuse

Product Overview

The HPRWG2-35F/200Ag> drop-out fuse (expulsion fuse) is a critical outdoor high-voltage protection device in power transmission and distribution systems. It is typically installed on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or on branch trunk lines of distribution lines, serving as short-circuit and overload protection for transformers and lines, as well as for making and breaking load currents. This drop-out fuse consists of a composite insulating support and a fuse tube, with a reliable structure. The fixed contacts are installed at both ends of the insulating support, and the moving contacts are installed at both ends of the fuse tube. The fuse tube is composed of an inner arc-extinguishing tube and an outer phenolic paper tube or epoxy fiberglass tube. As a load-break HPRWG2-35F/200A drop-out fuse, it is enhanced with resilient auxiliary contacts and equipped with an arc chute for safely making and breaking load currents.

The RW series drop-out fuses produced and sold by FAURE/Gaosuo Electric are held in the closed position by the tension of the fuse element during normal operation. When a fault occurs in the system, the fault current causes the fuse element to melt rapidly, creating an arc. The arc-extinguishing tube, subjected to the heat of the arc, decomposes a large amount of gas, creating high pressure inside the tube, which is blown longitudinally, rapidly elongating and extinguishing the arc. After the fuse element melts, the lower moving contact loses tension and flips downward, and the locking mechanism releases the fuse tube, causing the fuse tube to drop automatically, forming a clear disconnection position and ensuring safe isolation. When it is necessary to break the load, an operator uses an insulating pole to pull the moving contact. At this point, the main moving and fixed contacts are still in contact. As the insulating pole continues to pull the contact, the auxiliary contacts also separate, creating an arc between them. The arc is elongated in the narrow slot of the arc chute, and the arc chute generates gas, extinguishing the arc at current zero, achieving a safe opening operation.

Product Features

  • After installing a high-voltage fuse element in the HPRWG2-35F/200A drop-out fuse, it effectively protects the circuit and reliably interrupts fault currents.
  • Uses high-performance composite material insulator, providing excellent insulation performance and strong weather resistance.
  • After the fuse element melts, the fuse tube drops automatically by its own weight, forming a clear and safe isolation break, making operation and maintenance simple.
