FDGW-40.5KV/630A 35KV Windproof Isolating Fuse Wind Power Dedicated Protection Equipment
The FDGW-40.5KV/630A 35KV Windproof Isolating Fuse, developed based on the needs of wind farms, is a new type of wind power dedicated isolating fuse. This product features a single-column structure and is a new product developed by technical personnel through long-term tracking and analysis of wind farm operating conditions. It incorporates multiple improvements in contact method, contact area, conductive area, heating points, etc., effectively enhancing the operational stability of wind farms and preventing unnecessary dropout under normal conditions.
Product Introduction
Each set of FDGW-40.5KV/630A 35KV Windproof Isolating Fuse can support multiple wind turbines and is suitable for the variable current compensation conditions in wind power. Its fusing current reaches 630A, and no arcing occurs during the fusing process. This new type of wind power dedicated isolating fuse is an essential product for wind farms as a protection segment. It is installed on the high-voltage side of distribution transformers or on branch trunk lines of distribution lines, serving as overload and short-circuit protection for transmission lines and power transformers, as well as for making and breaking rated load currents.
This 35KV Windproof Isolating Fuse features excellent overcurrent protection characteristics, strong power frequency withstand voltage capability, high lightning impulse withstand voltage, large breaking current, the ability to support multiple wind turbines, and high mechanical strength. Its performance fully complies with the requirements of GB15166.3-2008 national standard and IEC282-2 international standard.
Protection Principle
The FDGW-40.5KV/630A 35KV Windproof Isolating Fuse consists of insulators, upper and lower contact conductive systems, and a copper ruler. The middle part of the copper ruler is equipped with 12 small insulating sheds, and a specially made short fuse tube is placed outside the sheds. During normal operation, the fuse tube is held in the closed position by the tension of the fuse element. When a fault occurs in the system and the fault current exceeds the rated operating value of the fuse element, the fuse element melts according to its inverse-time fusing characteristics. An arc is generated in the fuse tube at the break. The high temperature of the arc causes the inner wall of the arc-extinguishing tube to generate a large amount of gas, which is ejected outward from the tube at high speed, blowing out the arc. After the fuse element melts, its tension disappears, and the fuse tube is opened by the action of a spring, forming a clear disconnection position.
Product Advantages
Based on years of installation and technical modification experience in power systems, this specialized windproof isolating fuse, model FDGW-40.5KV/630A, is a new product designed to meet the practical need for a single set of fuses to support multiple wind turbines in wind farms. Its specific advantages are mainly reflected in the following aspects:
- Structural Reinforcement: The thickness of the upper and lower contact steel bracket plates is increased to 10 mm. All contact points are modified to increase contact area and current-carrying capacity, effectively preventing increased contact resistance and operational accidents.
- Windproof Design: The closing contact structure is modified to effectively withstand wind speeds of up to 50 m/s, ensuring stable operation in harsh wind farm environments.
- Advanced Fuse Tube Technology: High-temperature resistant resin and fiberglass winding tube technology are added to the high-voltage fuse tube to prevent spontaneous combustion of the fuse tube due to temperature changes. The fuse tube has a dual protection function, quickly cutting off fault currents, thereby preventing hazards to the entire line and eliminating the risk of ground fires that may be caused by expulsion fuses.
- High-Quality Fuse Element: The high-voltage fuse element is made of quaternary alloy material with a fusing temperature of 219degC, effectively reducing the arcing time and temperature during fault currents.
- Corrosion-Resistant Materials: All contact parts and connection accessories are stamped from copper plates, effectively preventing corrosion of the product by acids, alkalis, and salts in sea breeze and salt fog, extending the product's service life.
- Enhanced External Insulation: In response to the special usage environment in coastal areas, the product is strictly manufactured according to the highest standards for outdoor operation, increasing the overall external creepage distance and enhancing anti-pollution performance.
- Anti-Resonance Design: Fixed structural components are added at the current-carrying lead positions, reducing the likelihood of resonance between the conductors and contacts during operation and preventing electrical sparks.
- Safety Protection: The product comes with an insulating shield as standard equipment, effectively preventing arcing caused by phase-to-phase short circuits and also providing protection against bird-related damage.
