FPQ Series Pin Composite Insulator-Pin Insulator
Product Overview
The FPQ pin composite insulator series products are suitable for 10-35kV distribution lines as pin insulation support. They are commonly used pin insulators and line insulators. Adopting a silicone rubber shed and epoxy core rod composite structure, they feature good anti-pollution flashover performance, strong aging resistance, and light weight.
The FPQ composite pin insulator has good hydrophobicity, aging resistance, tracking resistance, and erosion resistance, light weight, and easy installation. At the same time, it has high bending strength, impact resistance, shock resistance, and anti-brittle fracture performance, making it highly suitable for substation facilities. The installation dimensions at the top and bottom of the insulator correspond to those of corresponding ceramic post insulators, allowing interchangeability.
The insulating core rod (short for epoxy resin fiberglass pultruded rod), as the skeleton of the composite insulator, serves multiple functions including supporting the sheds, providing internal insulation, connecting the hardware at both ends, and withstanding mechanical loads. It has high tensile strength, reaching over 600MPa, which is twice that of ordinary steel and 5 to 8 times that of ceramic insulators. It also has good dielectric properties, chemical resistance, bending fatigue resistance, creep resistance, and impact resistance. The silicone rubber shed mainly serves to protect the core rod, shield against rain and snow, increase the creepage distance, and provide external insulation for the product. It is made from high-molecular polymer silicone rubber as the base, supplemented with flame retardants, anti-aging agents, coupling agents, and other fillers, vulcanized under high temperature and pressure. It has good hydrophobicity and hydrophobicity transfer, as well as excellent corrosion resistance, aging resistance, and electrical insulation properties. It also has high pollution flashover voltage and fragmentation resistance, with uniform voltage distribution. Compared with ceramic insulators, its flashover voltage under the same conditions is more than twice that of ceramic insulators.
The FPQ series composite pin insulator uses hardware manufactured from special steel. The hardware ends adopt a labyrinth design principle with multi-layer protection and good sealing performance, solving the key problem of "interface electrical breakdown" in insulators. The connection between the hardware and the core rod uses internationally advanced computer-controlled coaxial constant-pressure crimping technology, equipped with a fully automatic acoustic emission flaw detection system, ensuring the reliability and stability of the hardware-core rod connection. The core rod uses an ERC high-temperature acid-resistant rod, and a special coupling agent is applied to the interface between the core rod and the silicone rubber. The sheds are formed using a one-time integral molding process under high temperature and pressure, combined with a computer-monitored two-stage vulcanization process, extending the product's service life. Gaosuo Electric's production equipment and manufacturing processes, as well as comprehensive testing equipment and methods, ensure that all technical indicators of the insulator products meet relevant international standards, making them a new generation of high-performance insulators for high-voltage transmission and transformation lines.
