Product Overview

Porcelain housing zinc oxide arrester is suitable for AC 220kV and below power generation, transmission, transformation and distribution systems, used to limit the amplitude of lightning and system internal operating overvoltages to specified levels. It is the basis for insulation coordination of all types of electrical equipment in power systems. The protection performance of the arrester determines the internal and external insulation indicators (short-time power frequency withstand voltage, lightning impulse withstand voltage and switching impulse withstand voltage, etc.) of all electrical equipment in the power system.

Y1.5W-0.28/1.3 distribution type porcelain housing low voltage zinc oxide arrester uses metal oxide valve plates with excellent nonlinear volt-ampere characteristics, fast steep wave response and large current carrying capacity. The porcelain housing is formed by isostatic pressing, with high density and good electrical insulation. Unique sealing technology and pressure relief devices ensure safety and reliability, widely used in distribution systems. Long service life and good texture make it a choice that combines durability and aesthetics. After China fully introduced this technology in the mid-1980s and through years of practical digestion, the performance of products from professional arrester manufacturers is now not far behind the best products from the United States, Japan and Western Europe, and can meet all requirements of international IEC standards.

Applicable Standards

This product model is compiled according to JB/T8459-1996 "Arrester Product Model Designation Method". Gapless products comply with GB11032-2000 "AC Gapless Metal Oxide Arresters" standard; gapped products comply with JB/T9672-2005 "Metal Oxide Arresters with Series Gaps" standard. Important parameters and configuration methods not clearly defined in the above standards shall be modified and implemented according to DL/T620-1997 "Overvoltage Protection and Insulation Coordination of AC Electrical Installations".
