DSN-Y/DSN-Z Indoor Electromagnetic Lock-Switchgear Electromagnetic Lock
Model and Meaning

Note: So-called left-side installation or right-side installation refers to the installation position corresponding to the operator facing the locking object (such as the operating lever, cabinet fixed part). When the electromagnetic lock's installation position on the locking object is on the left side of the operator facing it, it is left-side installation; otherwise, it is right-side installation.
Operating Steps
(1) Normal Operation Steps:
a. Press the button, the power supply is connected, the electromagnet coil is energized, the moving iron core disengages from the lock bolt stop block, and the unlock indicator lights up, indicating that unlocking is permitted.
b. Turn the handle in the unlocking direction (clockwise for left-opening, counterclockwise for right-opening). When turned to the limit position, continue applying force, the lock bolt will automatically lock in the unlocked position, and the cabinet door can be opened. If the unlocked position is not reached, the lock bolt will automatically return to the locked position, satisfying the "auto-reset" function. If the lock bolt is in the unlocked position, the handle must be manually turned in the opposite direction of unlocking, so the lock bolt returns to the locked position, thus satisfying the locked state.
Note: A and B locks have the same appearance and installation dimensions.
Operation methods: A. Toggle button B. Pull handle
(2) Manual Unlocking Steps:
a. Press the button, the power is forcibly cut off by the locking circuit, the unlock indicator does not light up, the moving iron core engages the lock bolt stop block, indicating that unlocking is not permitted;
b. If unlocking is necessary under special circumstances, take the unlocking key, insert it into the unlocking hole, turn the key 90deg in the direction marked on the panel to "-" i.e., "stop position", pushing the moving iron core away from the lock bolt stop block;
c. (Same as normal operation step b) to satisfy the "manual unlocking" function.
Note: The unlocking key's unlocking process is to push the moving iron core away from the lock bolt stop block to release the locked state, while unlocking requires using the button or handle to move the lock bolt to achieve unlocking. Therefore, the unlocking key cannot be used to directly unlock.
I. Overview
1. Scope of Application
The DSN-Y/DSN-Z indoor electromagnetic lock is an electrically controlled interlocking device that prevents electrical misoperation of high-voltage switchgear. It is mainly used for electrical interlocking between indoor disconnectors operated by manual mechanisms and circuit breakers. It provides forced interlocking for the front and rear doors of switchgear and other parts requiring locking, preventing electrical misoperation and entry into live compartments. It is an indispensable interlocking device for power generation and supply departments.
2. Normal Operating Conditions
Ambient air temperature: Upper +40C; Lower: -20C for general areas, -25C for alpine areas
Altitude: Installation altitude not exceeding 1000m
Environmental humidity: Daily average relative humidity not greater than 95%, monthly average not greater than 90%.
Environmental conditions: No significant pollution, no flammable or explosive substances, no chemical corrosion or salt spray, and no frequent severe vibration.
